I'm a huge fan and went up to her and said "Are you KD Lang?" and she just looked at me, smiled, and put her finger over her lips to "shhhh" I was so starstruck! Often talking about her interviews, etc. What Cher forgot to point out is that at that time she had a crush on Sean Penn, who was already Madonna's boyfriend (or maybe they were already married), and she didn't do anything to hide it (she always had a thing for younger men) Probably Madonna's attitude was due to this, in any case she never commented on it. Madonna also said in an interview the word Madge means different things to different people. It can mean a boring old house wife ......but to others for her, was short for Majesty.
