It was quite brilliant indeed. I don’t necessarily hate the finale, as it became clear at that point that this show was more about raising questions than giving answers, but I do think it dragged on for too long.

I’ve been flirting with the idea of rewatching LOST for a few weeks now so I think this is a sign

I dedicated huge amounts of time to this show but the ending still confuses me to this day. Definitely a disappointing end to a very addictive series. It seems like the show runners really stretched it out and included storyline that went nowhere. But yeah I was a big fan at the time. Went on the forums etc.

It kind of sucks that the cast didn't really go on to do much. Daniel Dae Kim did well and Evangeline did some Ant Man movies.. But where the heck did Matthew Fox disappear to? I googled him recently and he's barely worked in years. There was a lot of shady gossip about him and Dominic accused him of beating up women...

One of my favorites shows ever. Back then I was truly obssessed with it and since it ended (and Desperate Housewives) I've never got hooked on another show. And I still rewatch it from time to time. Truly a masterpiece.

My favorite character was Juliet and, unpopular opinion, I loved the finale.

Omg Juliet  i love her storyline! And the season 5 finale :sharon:

I also love the series finale, it went over most people's heads i think.

One of my favorite shows.  I'd always make sure to watch it as it aired, even on school nights.  The cast is incredible, storytelling absorbing and unique, and the cinematography/setting is beautiful.

I'm one of the people that loved the series finale.  It seemed very fitting and existentially profound.

Agree with a lot of the comments so far -- and one of my favorite couples on the show is Rose and Bernard.  So romantic :diane:

Gosh, I miss some of the 00's shows.  Showtime was on point that era, too (Weeds, Dexter, Californication, Nurse Jackie, United States of Tara).

Thanks for the reminiscing thread, OP.  I had started to re-watch the series this spring but slowed down.  I'll have to jump back in

Yes the early 00s shows were the best!

I'm currently about to finish season 2 and I somehow still have anxiety about Michael getting Walt :bear:

This is a common response regarding the finale and it's not what most people assume or what the internet spread around. I won't try to convince you otherwise, but perhaps they could have done a better job of making it more clear, as most people think "they were dead the whole time" which is far, far from what happened :vegas:

Yeah, if an ending just confuses the hell out if your audience then its not a success. But that they had built it up so that any finale was going to be a disappointment to people. Like GOT.
