I mean, I could think about a million reasons why a bank (or rather, the government) should be caring about where the citizens spend their money (namely child p*rn, guns, hitmans, you get the drill), but sex by consenting adults is incredibly stigmatized. Are we supposed to believe every company producing erotic content can’t use a bank or payment processing service? How does any other **** site process payments? Something just feels like a cop out with the whole “it’s the payment processing companies faults.” I have several friends (myself included) who purchased content that wasn’t at all what it was advertised to be. Either by subscribing to people’s content only to find every post was an ad for another account or product and no original posts, or from buying single videos that were not what they were sold as. (I once bought one only to find out that the l**ds they were taking were actually just loads of clothes out of the dryer.) The amount of chargebacks and complaints to credit card companies over false content is probably extremely high and it’s hard to police/guarantee what everyone is selling.
