That is absolutely not true. His literally phrasing in the post says he felt that way, doesn't mean it was reality. As someone who is really sensitive I often feel things that I know are not reality, anyone with abandonment issues can tell you that. Besides maybe he was referring to family or friends, not Gaga herself. 

There are always going to be people lying in wait to drag Gaga, I don't think it reasonable to expect every single person in her life to behave in a way that keeps her image as "clean" as possible. Life is messy. Gaga herself has acknowledged that social media is the "toilet of the internet" and ppl will use anything to farm clicks. It's not healthy to live your life beholden to that.

People have been dragging him viciously for nothing. Saying he is lazy, stupid or financially irresponsible. Without known any actual facts or details about his situation. That's cruel and unfair.

Good for him, but I'm not reading anything that's worth donating money. 

What I did see however was a whole video on his instagram using footage of him in the hospital to make people feel bad for him so they would donate

He's not lazy or stupid. Blowing 20k in a few months does seem financially irresponsible but hey he's even admitted to that himself so... 

I mean.. The headlines speak for themselves. I'm not even gonna look up comments but somehow I think Gaga is receiving way more criticism than Ryan. 

Anyway..  I just think a lot of this could have been avoided.

can I ask where people are getting the 20k number? Because the GoFundMe his friend set up previously that I know about only raised about 7 or 8k... is there another?

no but I mean the original one, set up back when he was first shot. People on this thread have been talking about him "blowing through 20k" from a previous fundraising effort, but the only one I know about raised about 8k so I was curious if there was something else I don't know about.

Nobody knows what financial assistance she gave him (I mean she's clearly paid for his medical bills considering he's not asking for those to be paid too), we saw him visiting her not long before he went on this trip. What happened to him was awful but why would you go off travelling for 6 months if you weren't set up financially? 

And like... He is the one who chose to leave to travel around on his own. To say he was abandoned and unsupported feels a little dramatic.

I'm in the middle of these two stances tbh.

But the fact is we really don't know what happens behind closed doors so it's unfair to both Gaga and Ryan to make assumptions, especially ones about money and personal relationships.

We know Gaga paid his medical bills despite having no real obligation to (but it's very kind that she did) and she certain has no obligation to fund his personal road trip. He's an adult and should have planned better, to be frank. But again, it would be very on brand of her to help him out despite it not being her responsibility

I won't be judging either one of them honestly. Money ruins everything.

Wow, this situation is so bizarre. For one, if he needs more money I don’t believe Gaga would hesitate, but I think Ryan may be too proud to ask for more which is why he resorted to this. But then he had to have known how this would look too.  I thought he and Gaga were friends, I wouldn’t set my friend up to be publicly dragged.

my personal take is that he should've just spent all the budgeting on therapy and not a "spiritual journey" road trip. and now he's out of money and is asking for more.

I tend to agree with this. I also hope he’s compensated as a final result from the trial but that could take years.
