This is a moment that will go down in history as one of the worst US foreign policy blunders in history. I mean, is the US supposed to stay there forever? 20 years, two decades and the minute they leave it's a mess. So does it mean they have to stay permanently and future generations have to fight again and again and again. Afghan troops were much more numerous than the Taliban and they failed, it's just baffling to me.

The Afghan Army lost because it wasn't a real army. It was full of Taliban members and people who preferred to swear allegiance to the new government than risking their lives to defend themselves against it. It's not rocket science. Yeah we should have left Afghanistan alone in 2001. Was this a real option?
