I mean, you were hearing it from speakers picked up by the iPhone microphone and then Instagram live audio quality. I would keep the comments about production quality until I hear it from the direct source.

my comments were not about the sound quality of it, of course the quality it's pretty bad, but it was about the production choices in the music and general style of it.
Again, it's just an snippet, we'll wait until the final version

It sounds like something a little more nuanced could have been done rather than slam jam so hard that you can’t think of anything but the beat

Going hard is the point of this music genre.

Sine from Above is not drum and bass. Is Hard-Style.

It seems like many of you were expecting simple modifications to the Chromatica songs with added vocals from the featured artists.

It's funny because when that happened with the BTW reimagined tracks, they got dragged for being too similar and not innovative enough :poot:

Soft, soothing, and succulent

if you want to go hard while keeping a chipmunk pitched voice with a ridiculously fast tempo i can't take you seriously :enigma:haha

btw, off topic, i've been obsessed with this song lately, this is the type of heavy and dark electronic music i like.

Points were made, thank you for this 'cause many have their expectations put into this as if this was a "Side B" type of work, although I wouldn't go that deep into considering it as "the most divisive Gaga album" since it's just a remix album...

I hope most people understand how this remix album is basically a full circle moment from ARTPOP. While the ARTPOP that her label ultimately released was undoubtedly a more ‘sanitised’ version, it was still a work of saturated, gonzo pop maximalism in a time when Royals had already changed the conversation towards the authentic ‘singer/songwriter’ image for the contemporary pop star. ARTPOP’s unashamed embrasure of the bizarre, lowbrow and kitsch actually sparked the flame for what we now call ‘hyperpop’ to arise. Around that time, SOPHIE was also reacting against the move towards a more ‘authentic’ sound by going further into the synthetic with pop production. While mainstream attention focussed more on the linage of Royals, giving credence to artists like Billie and now Olivia, the more underground pop scene was driven by the lesser seen impact of records like ARTPOP to produce more saturated, more saccharine ideations of the sound arriving at artists like Dorian, Shygirl, Lil Texas, 1000 Gecs etc.. so really, this remix album makes complete sense because it’s celebrating Gaga’s pop ancestry (which will always be more underground by virtue of her creative choices and the rule book by which she plays inspiring a whole host of pop weirdos lol) by bringing the past and future together in the present. I for one am suuuuper excited about this.

Literally. Big Freedia was the only one who did something genuinely interesting and the fanbase treated her.. like that.
