Because he didn't say something he was homophobic or not trying to push the LGBTQIA movement? I guarantee it was a white cute privileged reporter. Not because the reporter is racist but because they just don't get it and asking black people to constantly explain things is just annoying.

Where were their support then? Where was Jay Z, Eminem, Nas, Kendrick Lamar etc etc? They are not man enough to defend someone because they are scared of being called gay. why are we expecting straight rappers to defend us? at this point we should've know that they don't care about us at all, and while now they don't dare to be explicitly homophobic in public, they're just indifferent. What's sad is that even the gay rapper in the community can't speak out in our defense or condemn homophobic statements.

Because DaBaby brought the homophobia issue in Hip-Hop to the forefront again, and other rappers defended him by putting Lil Nas X down. Lil Nas X is making headlines as an openly gay hip hop artist, while one of the biggest streaming forces in hip hop was making headlines for being homophobic.

It‘s not too far off to think someone would ask Lil Nas X that. And his response was the best thing he could possibly say.
