Im gonna be honest. I watch the trailer frequently and it's gonna sound so stupid, because it is but the coloring of the movie makes me feel like the movie is not gonna be amazing. I dont know it's just a feeling, it looks a bit....cheap? I hope the coloring is different though and this was for the trailer. I also think, and it's unpopular opinion, that Jared Leto is a mess. I think he's a very hit or miss actor and he hit the mark again from the small scenes, I mean literally seconds of what Ive seen I get secondhand embarassment. The rest looks epic though, and I will be sooooooo happy to watch it in cinema, i think the best way to see how good a movie is

I just felt like saying this before some of you get a meltdown if HOG doesn't match your expectations in terms of "success".

Oh they will find something to be dramatic about!!

The critical acclaim this movie has the chances of receiving are >>>> than the box-office numbers. Movies are back but theaters haven’t been as packed even with stuff out like Black Widow and F9.

People like to throw numbers anyway. Just enjoy what you like and don’t stress out on numbers :sis:

Movies like this aren't meant to be blockbusters. They are character driven movie. They aren't action, comedy or romance. Especially when they are based on a true story.

If it does better than Bombshell, it will be successful. That is the only other character driven based on a true story movie that has one or more of it's main characters be a strong female lead.

It will probably be released on Amazon and movie theatres. Things are going to get alot worse before they get better with the pandemic. I really see a shut down happening by the end of the year IMO.

Girl, the US is not shutting down ever again no matter how bad the pandemic gets. It’s just not happening again. People will riot especially after being told for months that they can go back to their normal lives after being vaccinated.

I'm worried because the majority of monsters seem excited and we all know what happens when that's happens.

I must be the only one who found the trailer really boring, so I won't be surprised if it doesn't do that well, but there's a chance it will so idk.

I mean I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't do well either way, critically or by tickets sold. I think people are inherently cynical of performers trying new mediums. It does look good though, and the actors are on point. Fingers crossed.

I feel you.

The aesthetics and color correction are so bluntly Netflix. It might resemble a bit House of Cards or even Sin City , without being too stylised - instead it looks too serious. You can’t understand the real tone of this thing. Again I blame Ridley Scott for this

Idk why this bothers me though but it does :enigma: Im still very very excited bcs of the cast and plot, it's wow, to me it's heaven, everything i want from a movie. Either it should be more colorful or a little darker but keeping a bit of colors in there.

I would personally use more colorful, it's Rome, it's money and excess it's the 80s late 70s, it's glamour and drama.

If it succeeds, we will brag about its sales

If it flops, but it's critically acclaimed, we will brag about the rating (and awards)

If it flops and is panned, it will become our cult film

I’m not worried about box office but sorry I’m really not a big fan of Ridley Scott. I think it will be Gaga mostly supporting the quality of this film. He has another movie presenting in Venice Film Festival so I’m worried they somewhat know HOG is not candy for critics…

The Last Duel was filmed and finished with post-production in time for the Venice Film Festival deadlines, while House of Gucci was not. It's not that deep.

To be fair, the film hasn’t finished post-production yet.
