Now the vaccine is widely available and people are getting it; this is what a return to normalcy looks like. He scaled the party down significantly in response to the Delta variant, and as far as I'm aware 200 attendees is less than the current limit on large gatherings in the state the party was held in. So was this tone-deaf? Sure. But I can't find anything about this situation to be angry about. As our current president has said, this is now a pandemic of the unvaccinated. And while breakthrough cases of COVID still exist, it’s like catching a regular cold/flu and they’re not being sent to the hospital. People can’t be vigilant about COVID forever, just being realistic. People will still get sick whether people are careful or not, COVID is prob here to stay just like seasonal colds.
