GovernmentGaga 446
On Apple's digital platforms, iTunes and Apple TV, the poster image for 2018's A Star Is Born has been updated. This new poster no longer features the black and white image with gold text that has been used for the film's main poster since its release. Interestingly, this new image seems to have taken a throwback approach in its style. Even more peculiar is the omission of both Gaga and Cooper on the poster. Unlike Netflix, Apple's platforms do not frequently change/update its posters. This change seems to have happened within the last 24 hours. If anyone can locate a high quality version of this poster, please post it. What do you think of this update? In my personal opinion, not only does this new poster not fit with the tone of the film, it also does itself a major disservice by not including Gaga and Cooper - Considering their chemistry and the drama surrounding it being one of the film's biggest draws for the general audience. You’d think a change like this would have to be approved by multiple parties. And multiple variations of the art have to be used as shown above - for the vertical poster and then for the horizontal library art. Too much effort for a mistake. 7 minutes ago, Monsterabriel said: The art is not bad, but it does not fit the movie at all. I agree with this. Technically the art itself is fine. But as the primary image to represent the film - it’s way off brand.
