socotra 3,310
Whether a general memory or a personal memory you have related to the music (and you don’t have to have been around for that era, just anything you personally cherish from that album) The Fame - my favorite era memory is Paparazzi at the VMAs, favorite personal memory is seeing Gaga for the first time on So You Think You Can Dance perform Just Dance and being completely enamored as a 9 year old TFM - when BR leaked and calling my cousin because I was so excited; it’d been rumored Starstruck would be the next single, and the sheer SIZE of bad romance was ****ing incredible at first listen. To this day, I still personally prefer the song starting off with “rah rah rah” like it was in the leaked demo BTW - at the time of the era, the BTW Grammys performance was a “holy **** she did it again” moment. At the time, I’d shut away the Gaga part of me because I didn’t want to be seen as gay, so I actually left the room as my whole family was watching the show and Gaga came on because I was so insecure and uncomfortable; 8 years later, when I was winding down my time studying abroad in France, “You and I” randomly came on my shuffle while I was walking in the rain to meet my parents at the train station, I’ll always remember that moment AP - this album means so much to me. The chaos of its rollout and the fury in the music was a crutch for me at a very transitional part of my life. Favorite memory was waking up 5 to watch the Applause video before I had practice, and then visiting Hearst Castle just before the GUY vid dropped Joanne - getting all my friends in college to learn and love Million Reasons; became a running joke in our group ASIB - I lived in a house of 8 straight guys + me my second year of college; they all sat down and listened to the entire ASIB soundtrack with me and it took everything in me not to cry, after being a closet Gaga fan since BTW Chromatica - Stupid Love at the start of the pandemic was a saving grace; I had become an Ari Stan throughout college w Sweetener+TUN, so ROM felt like a full circle moment. The first major event I went to since the pandemic was my cousin’s wedding, where we all danced (finally) to ROM. One of my favorite moments ever, wbu? PartySick 160,205
I started stanning in 2013 so... The artRAVE was my first real concert. My friend and I spent MONTHS painting each other's faces, bopping to each song, watching the videos and performances on her roommate's huge TV, all that good stuff. We agreed that Swine was top tier Aside from the artRAVE itself, my favorite memory is definitely when I stayed over at her place and she and I took our crafts, goodies, drinks (despite being underage ), and my laptop outside around 2am. She lived in a rural area North of my town so we went right out into the street under a street light and started wreaking havoc on the shirts and accessories we bought for the show. Maybe an hour passed before we saw another human being...two cops pulled up to ask what we were doing...I was covered in pink glitter with bright green hair and my friend had her face entirely painted like the Applause cover with pig stickers and "SWINE" spray painted across her shirt we were just like "uhh...Lady....Gaga......." then a third cop car pulls up, the dude gets out, and the first cop just kinda waved his hand in our direction and said "eh, Lady Gaga" then they told us to get out of the street Billionaires are a cancer. Even the ones you like.

MercifulAir 858
TF: My very first introduction to Gaga was probably my favorite memory of this era. the NewNowNext awards was how I discovered her. I religiously watched the Logo channel and they hyped her up with that NNN awards commercial. It played almost every other ad. I was so invested that I DVR’d the Show just to watch it her performance. The intro to that song caught my attention immediately. I so wish I could listen to that song for the first time again. TFM: There’s a couple things that stand out to me the most with this era. The first was right before Bad Romance she was the MG on SNL and she performed a snippet of bad romance. The second is the VMAs when she swept the awards and didn’t perform. I thought that was ICONIC but was low key a little confused as to why she didn’t. Born This Way: The Mugler shows where she played Scheiße and Government Hooker. Those were both solid teases to showcase the album and I’ll never forget sitting on the school bus, my senior year of high school, playing those remixes over and over. ARTPOP: Swinefest was my favorite from this era and it’s one of the best shows she’s ever put on. The songs she chose to preview before the albums release were all iconic. C2C: Her performance of LL on Howard stern was so emotional and I loved hearing about how she was introduced to that song and what it meant to her then/now. Joanne: Super Bowl/Coachella. i was at a very interesting time in my life and this albums concept was parallel to things I was going through personally. I’ve learned I really needed that album. A Star is Born OST: All the press conferences for this movie were incredible. Chromatica: Stupid Love! tHE END!

Concertaholic 5,885
The Fame: I was like 10 and my parents didn’t let me listen to pop music so nothing lol The Fame Monster: When I probably first discovered Gaga, I remember one of my classmates showing me the Telephone music video in 6th grade and my prude a** was shooketh! Born This Way: Became a full on stan, definitely my grandma taking me to see Gaga for the first time at the Born This Way Ball ARTPOP: Listening to Radio Gaga! I was a sophomore in high school at the time and often times felt weird/was struggling with my sexuality and coming home and listening to other monsters talk about Gaga made me so happy. C2C: Getting a signed album/my other grandma taking me to Gaga and Tony’s Cheek to Cheek tour! Joanne: Finally being over 18 and out of the house and being able to call the shots and travel to see Gaga at 3 Joanne World Tour shows/Working on the Super Bowl Halftime show in Houston and getting to meet Gaga for the first time! I got to spend an entire week with Gaga and see her run the show at least 10 times. And I got paid to do it! I literally hit the jackpot by living in Houston A Star Is Born: Winning tickets on the radio to see a special advance screening of the movie a week before it came out. Chromatica: Umm is there one? This era really gave us so little cause of the pandemic. Perhaps listening to the album with friends on a group FaceTime call and all of us dancing alone in our living rooms while isolated during quarantine. Love For Sell: Getting to see Gaga and Tony at Radio City Music Hall
