Gov. DeSantis blames the heat. He says people are spending more time indoors in the a/c and a/c circulates the virus through buildings. Yup.

He also mandated that local school districts can not mandate masks in schools. He "wants to see kids smile".

You can't blame vaccinated people for that when the literal CDC guidance said vaccinated people didn't need to wear masks and could travel without quarantining or getting tested. What's happening right now is the fault of the UNvaccinated.

It’s expected. It’s disgustingly hot in Florida in the summer and everyone is inside, a lot of the middle aged “nothing will happen to me” crowd is not vaccinated, and life is (and always was) back to normal. I lived in Florida for a while and I hate it.

But very soon their cases will drop, and the media won’t report about it. It just shows how political the pandemic has become in the US…

It isn't vaccinated people that are 98% of Covid-19 hospitalizations.

Well that‘s true. People here in my city are also dying a lot and most of them are the ones not getting Vaccines and the ones that did think they’re completely immune when they‘re probably spreading it around. Delta is spreading like crazy. :bradley:

Edit

I’m sorry to hear that :( I just wish this nightmare could be over for all of us soon… Sadly the ones who responsible for it are the unvaccinated that choose not to get vaxxed, it’s frustrating.

Do we think the largest tourist attraction in the world being there has something to do with it? They just dropped masks a few weeks ago at Disney and universal but they're back now I believe.

Probably.  But here in California all, if not most, attractions and theme parks are open as well but our cases aren’t skyrocketing like Florida’s.

But masks are being required indoors at all Disney parks just recently.
