ThisGuyTony 29,441
We know that as female entertainers grow older, radio is less likely to play their music, actresses get less roles, and the media will nitpick at them for how they dress, perform, act, etc. Gaga is currently 35 and when the jazz era, House of Gucci, and the Vegas residency eras are done, do you think she’ll have an easy time presenting a new project (whether it be music or acting) or will her age be used against her in reaching success again? Jill 29,306
She'll be too legendary to avoid/decline. Like Meryl Streep, Barbra Streisand and the like. They might not be as "successful" as their younger conterparts, but what is "successful"? They are in a much safer space career-wise. Former First Lady of the United States. Now card-carrying member of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Rahrahbitchson 17,588
She could if she wanted, she's still young, madonna was 47 when hung up was released and cher was 52 when believe came out, the problem is that it seems that she is not very committed to promoting her music. Quizás bastaba respirar, sólo respirar, muy lento...💙

Nah. She has done a good job distancing herself from her gimmicky persona--which has made it easy for people to associate her with pure talent. All the right people notice her now. Gaga used to mean theatrics. Now, it represents something bigger than I am sure even she never imagined: being a jack of all trades. This is most notably evident in her successful transition from music to film. Her impression has been made and her name is here to stay. I know her talent will transcend and her beauty will take a backseat--much like the other greats before her (Streisand, Simone, Cher, etc.) As to relevance, the bottom line in she is a genuine human. As much as she relied on being extra early on in her career, she still manages to keep her values. In today's times where we are seeing so many people cancelled for contradicting themselves and their morals, Gaga remains a breath of fresh air. If I am wrong and the public shuns her for not "appearing up to standards", she will still stand tall in my mind. I will take a person over an idea any day. Chlorine 47,975
I don't think she will honestly. I mean, she will to the extent every woman does, but her main thing is talent which never loses value in the eyes of the GP.
RichAssPiss 4,809
Hasn't she? They know not to market too many singles to radio because Top 40 rarely plays women over 30. The first single charts from streaming interest and media buzz. But sustained radio hits are hard. Million Reasons relied on the Super Bowl and Rain On Me relied on Ari. They've taken to just putting out visuals (John Wayne, Joanne, 911) and not marketing any more solo singles to radio.

RAMROD 106,315
Ageism won't affect Gaga much cos she have huge stanbase to spin her music, especially if there is exciting promos for the fans to see and enjoy. And if she also connections and good reputation in Hollywood, safe to say she will always get acting gig.
