Glastonbury organisers have decided against staging a one-off concert this September.

The festival had been granted a licence to hold a show this autumn, with up to 50,000 people attending.

Emily Eavis wrote on Instagram that they had "decided not to go ahead" with the show "for a number of reasons".

The decision to call off the festival for a second year in a row came despite the best efforts being made to get fans at Worthy Farm and the artists on stage, which would have included headliners Taylor Swift, Sir Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar.

People will need to have proof of full vaccination to enter crowded venues from September, maybe this is why they are cancelling.

The whole world is, be grateful we've made it this far compared to some parts of the world!
