I love how in the EU, we can go to so many countries and still have the priviledges you would have in your home country :legend:

Bat 6,162
lol it's probably going to be just like our country. where we put the parts we want in and then I guess the parts they don't like will say that's "mexico" and the parts that are super liberal "canada" and consider them Europeans. Even though their all in Europe as everyone here is in North America. no tea. no shade. No, Europe is better than that. We're nothing like NA, most of Europeans hate ur social systems and so on. Baptiste 76
David Cameron wants to change the EU ... This guy has no restraint. Does he really think his country will impose its rules to other 26 ? We're not here for a unique commun market. He did not understand the logic of the European Union in seeing things from an economic perspective. The European Union is not just there to strengthen the UK economy ... English : http://www.guardian....endum-live-blog French : http://www.lemonde.f...20960_3214.html German : http://www.sueddeuts...er-eu-1.1580763 What a selfish point of view. Especially since the country has never given more money in Europe than it receives, unlike many other nations. In this period of crisis, populism/nationalism is really disgusting. Blame Europe is so easy when you can not manage your own economy ... :sweep: Edited January 23, 2013 by BGC
craig 680
The British are different. They barely consider themselves European. They still go around reminiscing about the days when they had their Empire and refuse to let go. They will never be ready for a European federation. The British still are culturally more similar to Canada, Australia, and US than Europe. We Anglo countries have always been there for each other when the going gets tough (friendly since the War of 1812). English speaking countries have been continuously liberal and democratic longer than either France and Germany. Britain was the only major European country than remained unconquered by by Napoleon and Hitler when they tried to take over the continent, besides Russia. No surprise, as Canada, Australia, and even the U.S to a large extent are basically British products. Geography has led to a certain kind of island mentality in Britain and made the distance to Europe far greater than it actually is. Naturally it has also protected the country from outside invaders, besides the fact that the U.S. saved their asses in the WWII.
