The only problem is the language problem. But Europe could be a country with a lot languages. I'm proud to be an European citizen many Countries have multiple languages... just look at Canada. Because the conservative government is refusing to make any efforts to improve minority rights and freedom of press and the EU keeps stalling them. Otherwise Turkish culture is more european than you think. Turkish architecture is all around the balkans, lifestyles are very similar with Balkan states, only difference is religion.
