CDC: Masks in school not needed for vaccinated teachers/students

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Friday that fully vaccinated teachers and students do not need to wear masks inside school buildings – but stopped short of calling for vaccination requirements for teachers and eligible children. The health officials still advise, however, that unvaccinated teachers and students wear masks indoors. These changes, as The Associated Press reports, come as the US is witnessing a decline in COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths.

I hope even vaccinated people can still wear masks wherever they wish without any judgment. I don’t wanna breath everyone’s air and would like to not get sick with a cold or flu. Not just covid!

Yes which is why I'm freaking out. The unvaccinated people will have to masks but even then I don't want to be near them (don't judge me). The underlined part below seems to indicate that vaccination is not a requirement but please correct me if I'm wrong

But again no one will address that there is no methodology to assess vaccine status. People are taking these CDC guidelines and applying them to everyone regardless if they have been vaccinated. It's so frustrating.

Why is CDC trying to contradict medical experts who work with WHO? WHO has recommended even fully vaccinated people still wear masks due to variants. And what about kids who can't get vaccinated in certain countries? Vaccine hasn't been approved for children in various countries.

Theres already a new Lambda variant that multiple countries have detected. I want to know who's pocket CDC is in to make claims masks aren't needed.

I'm a fully vaccinated primary school teacher in the southern European region. My A graders had severe respiratory issues due to the 43°C + the masks + not sufficient ventilation + no A/C. Every other day ever since the 15th of May we had to call the parents for near-fainting events during the breaks.

So whether masked or not, if this happens in Europe as well, we are still doomed.

I think most places are now planning on just letting everybody go out and do the whole herd immunity. Which tbf I said from the beginning should’ve been the case as long as everybody who is considered vulnerable would be shielded, that way there’d be no one left to spread it if they’ve already had it. I’m just glad that our governments are now seeing sense, we’ve got to the point now where it’s gone on too long and at the end of the day, if it’s gonna go away we just need to be cautious and respectful but we can’t keep living a life feeling imprisoned

CDC only speaks for american vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson) while WHO must speak for all the other less effective vaccines 🤷‍♀️
