RAMROD 110,211
This song was originally called Let's Get Retarded But it got a lot of complaints from public as well as radio stations because it was deemed insensitive, so BEP had to record it into new version, the hit we know today this is one of my favorite song from BEP, aside from Hey Mama. Later on I understand why. Because the song interpolates part of the instrumental base of "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls It is a bop tbh, and I appreciate them on recording the new version too! Do you like this song too? (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ What it meant to be content with you (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡
KooKoo 1,014
I loved the song at the time. That whole album brings back memories when I was 17. Dreaming is free
GagaSine 7,464
It's kind of interesting how this song was sort of a mission statement for this phase of their career, before Fergie BEP was doing "conscious" rap and their music was critical of mainstream music, brand deals, fake "artists" propped up by big record labels, and then they sold out big time and had huge hits with some of the dumbest pop songs ever. Let's get retarded, indeed. I was really shocked when they released new music in the past couple of years and it was back to the socially conscious and critical lyrics. It seriously boggled my mind haha.
