Not overly bothered but generally it's good because I really cant vibe to rap music as much as ive tried (artists of any ethnicity, I just prefer singing) and it was becoming very samey, it's also cool for artists of other genres to be getting some recognition also

Not everything is a race thing you guys lol. Obviously a POP MUSIC FORUM is gonna be happy there's more opportunities for POP MUSIC to be in the top ten. I like rap or hip-hop as much as the next person, a lot as of late has felt like filler just like there's a lot of filler or mediocre trash in pop music. If given a choice Id prefer to have a chance of getting more good pop music circulating instead of filler rap or filler pop. Its not that serious.

I understand that it’s a white Lagy Gaga forum, so the majority of people who don’t like rap want to see Ava Max and Dua Lipa topping the charts because that’s just the kind of music they like. 
I also understand that the majority of ‘y’all racist if you don’t like rap’ comments were made by the woke white guilt squad. That’s okay, both are pretty harmless. 
But don’t get it twisted, RAP IS BLACK. PERIOD. A lot of ‘I don’t like rap’ comments have racist and anti-black connotations and it’s always been like that. I think It’s more about wanting to see a variety of other genres on the forefront of charts after many years of another genre dominating them. That’s it. There’s no deeper meaning to it. I’m sure people felt the same when pop music was doing the exact same thing a few years ago for many years, and rap was a welcome change to that. It’s just a natural cycle for music to evolve and have another genre to be defining of the next decade/years and the charts be reflective of that.

No one here is perpetuating any race war and that disgusting logic shows you haven’t taken any insight into the plight of the Black & Brown communities who’ve been persecuted & struggled through this. It’s bigger than a “race war”
