I think as more interracial couples and multiracial people exist, we will understand more that skin color can mean as much as eye or hair color, and that we as a society have just socialized a certain skin color as lesser. Think of Nazi Germany that socially constructed the discrimination of people based on hair and eye color. Any demographic you can list is affected by societal norms, which can and will shift in the future. 
 

At the end of the day; race, gender, etc is all a social/psychological construct and manifests as a person’s identity. I say as long as they are not bastardizing whatever thing they are transitioning towards, my belief of body autonomy will accept anyone who wants to be what they feel like they are. That being said though, if you are a member of a community and don’t like that people are trying to transition into your demographic then that is completely within your right to feel a negative way about it. 

This tbh. I read Rachel Dolezal's book and watched her documentary because I was so curious about her side of the story. While she, Oli, and any other transracial person have not had the negative experiences of their identifying race, their stories and choices should still be respected as they are coming from a place of love. I personally think we, as a society, are not ready to have this conversation yet and there's still too much racial divide. 

As history has shown us, there will eventually be a seat at the table for these types of people and I'm in the minority by saying I'm interested in their story. Many years ago, majority of people would laugh at the idea of a transgender person. Gender and race are not linear, that's a fact. We don't know everyone's lived experience.

Even though it might appear ridiculous at first, technically this is not very different from gender reassignment surgeries. You identity as someone else and you change your body to match it with your preferred identity. This person is getting unnecessary hate.

That being said, the dynamics of sex transition and race transition are not the same. But then again, who am I to judge the validity of someone else's feelings!

Please do not perpetuate this. Race and gender are extremely different and so many conservatives will use this against trans people. Additionally, racist cultural appropriation is such a wide-sweeping problem that we do not need to legitimate it by associating it with the long history of diverse genders.

No. You are conflating two things that are not the same. Just because body changes may be involved, that does not make them equal. Gender diversity has a long and very real history. It is incredibly dangerous to try and delegitimate that by associating it with something that is essentially far-reaching cultural appropriation.
