Ugh, this delta variant scares me. I'm more afraid of the long-term implications of covid tbh, with diminished lung capacity and mental fog and stuff. I got my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine with little to no side effects, so I can't wait for the second one. I also bullied like 8 people I know into getting it

Ever since I had covid my lungs have never reached what they were like before and my mental issues have gotten increasingly worse. I had everything under control but after getting it, I’ve been having to try new meds bc my last ones weren’t working anymore

One dose of Pfizer only has a 33% protection rate against the delta variant. Please mask up and follow all precautions until two weeks after your second dose.

Oh I absolutely do. I actually feel naked if I don't have a mask outside , and my country still has a nationwide mask mandate anyway

Missouri had 771 cases recently. Throughout the winter they had 3-7k cases daily for months. Now they have the lowest deaths per day ever (0-10 deaths a day compared to peak of 914) If you look up their case chart it’s not crazy.

”Wrecking havoc” seems like huge disinformation. Not saying it won’t get worse, but it has nothing to do with wrecking havoc.

You probably might have heard about this but there were some studies in Germany that have shown that Covid can change the shape of your red blood cells permanently and that this is probably the cause of long-term side effects of the Covid-19 disease.

Usually red blood cells are somwhat flexible and they can shapeshift very easily to get into the smallest capillaries (the ones in the lungs are some of the smallest in the body). In the study it was shown the red blood cells of people who suffer from the "Long Covid Syndrome" lose their flexibility, meaning that the cells stay in a set shape and specifically can't enter the small capillaries of the lungs (causing a permanently reduced lung function).
