I wouldn't really call this a drag? I've never heard of them before but they're just promoting a book, go off I guess? :yennefer:

I understand where they're coming from, but I disagree with some aspects.

The "Born This Way" argument for LGBT+ identities is less about literally being genetically and epigenetically born LGBT+, its more about the fact that We Are Who We Are and we can't and won't be changed just because it bothers someone. I agree we shouldn't use Born This Way as a way of saying "If we could change, we would, but we can't; but we promise we're good besides that" and instead we should reject heteronormativity.

See what I did there with the Kesha song from the same era :ally:

That's not a drag that's just accurate haha. Plus we all know the meaning of Born This Way isn't actually about being born with a certain sexuality but rather being born with innate freedom and a divine right to self expression. Alok is an icon, I love them! 🔥

Oh god, them. They’re cringe as hell. They’re the worst part of LGBT+ activism. I’ve seen a lot of their stuff and they find every single thing in the world wrong.

I would like them if they weren’t unrealistically cynical about everything

Honestly that was a waste of time reading, they actually makes no points but rattle of a list of garbage in a vaguely connective manor to sound like they are making a point.

I am gay, it’s not environmental, and I don’t need to prove it for social acceptance in heteronormative world. Born this way

We can't say that. Our activisms are in our own ways.

Also, they are using a photo, and having a discussion. It's a flamebait thread.
