Carl and I have a mutual friend and we’ve hung out a couple times - he’s a great guy. Super funny too. Really happy for him and the progress this will make in the NFL!

Ive also witnessed him lip sync for his life to Beyonce and he killed it :huntyga:

Good for him! I can’t wait for the day people stop having to come out. Why should someone have to state which sex they’re attracted to? When will people stop assuming someone else is straight? I wonder if that shift will happen in the next 20 years or longer.

This is amazing. Representation is so important and he is very brave for coming out in the NFL - and organization that has a lot of homophobic followers.

Also, he is really hot and has a deep voice and he is 6 foot 7. I am practically shaking :flutter:

Amazing, we love to see it

I just hope he won't face any kind of hate from the NFL and football fans :ohno:

Yes, but he is retired. Carl Nassib is the only openly gay one that is currently an active player.

Michael Sam came out before the draft and he was drafted but then cut before he could play professionally for the NFL.

The homophobia was so strong and is still strong in the NFL.

To add: Michael Sam wasn't really a great prospect to begin with. Frankly, him coming out was a wise career move. That's not meant to be shady, it's just accurate.

Carl's already been in the league for five years. And, although he's not a star, he's a solid player.

(Yeah, I love sports. Don't judge. It happens.)
