Victoria’s Secret has signed soccer World Cup winner Megan Rapinoe and actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas in a desperate bid to rebuild its brand and appeal to a broader market, Page Six has exclusively learned.

The beleaguered lingerie giant is relaunching and moving away from its traditionally rail-thin models by introducing The VS Collective with diverse “leading icons” and “changemakers” — including Jonas and Rapinoe — to “shape the future of the brand,” an industry insider told Page Six.

But don’t expect to see “White Tiger” star Chopra and Rapinoe — who has been a preeminent voice in the fight for women’s equal pay in the soccer world — posing in the firm’s famously flimsy, barely-there briefs.

We are told they are both being hired as spokeswomen and will instead appear on a podcast and in marketing materials for the recovering brand.

Chopra and Rapinoe will join Sudanese-Australian model Adut Akech, freestyle skier Eileen Gu, Brazilian transgender model Valentina Sampaio, plus-size model Paloma Elesser, and journalist Amanda de Cadenet, who will host a 10-episode podcast where each of the women will share their stories.

“It’s a group of women inspiring change and positivity. It’s another step they’re taking towards transforming the brand. The entire industry thought Victoria Secret was done,” an insider said.

Another source added, “[The Collective] is completely cause-driven … The idea is to create this community of outsiders looking in. It’s a new generation for the brand that is more about inclusivity.

“And they [Victoria’s Secret] needed it if they wanted to stay afloat. The brand was stuck in an era that never evolved. It’s a different world now.”

Too late. That brand is garbage and helped give women body dysmorphia everywhere around the world.

One brand that deserves to be canceled.

I used to work as a manager for V.S. I was literally told by my DM not to hire girls that didn't fit "the brand."

In other words don't hire that fat girl. This place was never about inclusion.

If they comeback strong enough with this they maybe can have a chance. But it needs to be real and not some bullshit just to sell. I’m glad they hired Valentina, she’s gorgeous!!!

I think it's too late for the rebrand now, there image has been trashed (rightfully so) over the past few years and they've not done themselves any favours.

Ugh. Just no. Aerie used to be cute until they became obsessed with the body positive and feminist message. If that happens to VS I’m gonna die. At the end of the day VS should be about beautiful lingerie, not campaigns to tell women how they should have self esteem. Ugh I hate fake corporate causes in general but if it kills the VS brand that’s just sad.

too little too late i fear...savage fenty took the spot of the “it” lingerie and they were inclusive right from the get go, VS had tons of time to change their brand from the exclusive model image they proudly used for decades

Agreed. But apparently people that don’t look like models need to feel like models too or something.

So they are still rebranding with conventionally fit and pretty cis women? Sure Megan is part of the LGBTQ+ community but I don't see how 2 cis women will be providing a brand shake up really? They have been HEAVILY criticized for their transphobia...why not rebrand with like having some big trans activists? and having some real plus size women on? and why not having some visibly differently abled women on too? etc...it just feels too little too late.

Thanks for sharing your story, that's really important. If I were a woman I'd feel way more comfortable in a store with woman with different body types than a store where all the works look like models. I'd feel cornered, that's horrible.

I am authistic, so don't be offended if I make a mess sometimes.

These are only two of the new ambassadors, there are others and they are more diverse
