Happy for her and the fact that she's clearly making the kind of music that she wants to make... but I'm definitely disappointed  I didn't keep up with rumours online to help shape my expectations, so this new sound is very jarring and sounds nothing like what I've always loved about Lorde. She basically made a Lana Del Rey song.

I saw in the rumours thread linked back in this thread and someone described it as what Lorde needs to do to cement her status, and that critics will love it but fans will be divided.... but will she cement anything? I feel like the GP has come around on Melodrama and everyone loves that album now, and will be expecting Green Light with this new track only to be disappointed

Do we think the album is really called 'I HATE WINTER"? 

Haven't heard the song yet, but general consensus is it's very summery. 

Bit of a strange one for me because I definitely prefer fall and winter... and I'm not really a fan of 'summer bops'. 

It's odd because I associate Lorde with winter. Her whole vibe. 

Still, I'm excited to hear the song and venture into the world of this third album. It just might not be one I can really relate to... even if the music is good.
