ARTGOD 3,266 Posted June 8, 2021 Share Posted June 8, 2021 The Dolby Atmos mix sounds really different, the vocals are way heavier and there’s definitely some sounds added/missing. The Dolby Atmos seems to play by default if it is available, which I don’t know if it sounds that good if you don’t have the hardware for it, so I think I’m gonna leave it off, lossless is enough for me. If the OP is hearing new mixes of Chromatica, then it is what Apple is calling Dolby Atmos spatial audio. Yes spatial audio is Apple version of Dolby audio geared specifically to it's devices. I've been listening to the album on Ultra HD 3D for a while now on another streaming service. It's fine. On Amazon Music "3D" is Dolby Atmos and Sony 360RA. On Apple Music its "Spatial Audio." Apple Music isn't the first streaming service to receive Chromatica in "Dolby Atmos." It's the latest service to receive it.
