Can we not use “a little PTSD” to describe that situation? Sure, it may have made you feel nervous, scared, or exposed. But that is NOT trauma. PTSD is a debilitating disorder that affects all aspects of a person’s life and is not just a “little” factor.

Yeah this is like when people press cancel on the microwave 2 times and say "sorry I'm a little OCD about that" :saladga:

She’s great at what she does. But great doesn’t always mean kind, especially in this case.

it's not though, people say "there is a little ptsd with that" to just say something was traumatic or unpleasant without realizing PTSD is a very specific medical condition. He could have it, but it sounds like he's just talking out his ass here.

In any case Barabara Walters is truly the worst.

"little PTSD" what does he mean. I hope he uses the word PTSD right and doesnt mean anxiety. If he's had nightmares, cold sweats, flashbacks and uncontrollable thoughts about what happened since 2000 I would think he went to therapy as it's very hard to live with PTSD.

These are the same people who say OCD but they mean perfectionism (which are not even similar at all). I hope for his sake he used the word right because it's getting pretty sick to hear people use disorders as adjectives

His career in the states never rebounded after that interview. His English album sales went from 14 million Worldwide to 6 million Worldwide to 700,000 worldwide. She literally destroyed him.

Remember it wasn't the same back then. Just two years earlier Matthew Shepard was hung on a fence to die for looking at a straight guy.

Barbara was just way ahead of her time and did what everyone does now by outing, bullying, dragging people etc. She was not afraid to ask the REAL questions everyone wanted answered. The difference with her though is that people knew this and still decided to do interviews with her because she is one of the rights of passage that come along with wanting to be an A list celebrity. This says just as much about the celebrities as it does her.

I’ll never forget her interview with Gaga. All these artists only put up with her bs cuz she’s a ‘legend’ in the industry.

Gaga handled the interview very well.  Barbara is known for pushing the envelope and going where other journalists don't.  Seems to be part of her brand and it keeps her interviews from being more of the same.  Unfortunately, to do that some of her questions can be rude, which is problematic for artists who can't handle situations as well as Gaga.   Some dislike Barbara for her rude questions, but I guess that's the price she's willing to pay.

I live outside the space time continuum.

Barbara is looked at as this legendary interviewer but I've always found she asks very inappropriate questions for shock value and ratings. You simply do NOT force anyone to come out. Or ask a woman if she has a penis for that matter :triggered:

I 100% empathize with Ricky. And I admire his strength tbh. Barbara should apologize personally to him, Ive seen he made a few interviews talking about her, they should privately speak on the phone or something, and she should privately and publicly apologize
