The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced the birth of their second child, a baby girl.

Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born on Friday at 11:40 in a hospital in Santa Barbara, California.

Both mother and child are healthy and well, the couple said in a statement.

I think that's a sweet name that honors both the Queen and Diana, and Lili is a cute nickname.

Hahaha so they accuse the monarchy of racism all year, say the Queen was a terrible mother who passed on huge trauma to Charles... and then name theur kid after her. If y'all can't see how they are playing both sides then I give up. They want to be seen to reject the racist monarchy, but by God do they want everyone to remember that they are royals

bringing light to the racism existent in an antique institution doesn’t mean that they aren’t still tied to the family. they’re a family.

besides, regardless what they do, they’re in the public eye. they’re public figures. every move they make will be a headline, and will be publicised. they could name the child anything, and it would be on the front pages of any magazine, meanwhile people like you complain that they’re doing it all for attention.

if you don’t like them, that’s your prerogative. but posting in every thread related to them is very telling. stop obsessing, get a life, and remember that the opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s indifference. and you’re far from indifferent.
