This will make him look altruistic, especially if he’s able to help her by getting more attention on her case. It could be seen as worth the comeback and publicity because of the reach that his channel has. He wants to show that “Even if I’m problematic, I can start using my influence for good” and get his audience back.

Youtube ad revenue does not earn you much at all in comparison to sponsors. If he can manage to get a sponsorship off anyone he'll make a lot of money. Likewise if he sells merch, he'll take a big cut of sales. All he needs is 1 company ballsy enough to publicly support him

not saying he has money but he certainly doesn’t have “I could never work a day in my life again and still be financially stable” imo

I mean, he’s somehow been relevant on YouTube for over a decade. It’s by design. He knows how to make money. The severity of this latest “cancellation” of his was a surprise given he usually rolls right through it. It takes some intelligence to be in the spotlight for that long.

It's so clear that he's just doing this to get on people's good side. It's actually disgusting that he would try and use this very real and serious situation as his "comeback."
