Here are the only countries that are homophobic but also good in economy: 1. Singapore 2. Malaysia 3. GCC countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman) [Bahrain is the only GCC country that legalizes LGBT, but still homophobic tho] 4. Brunei D. Like yes, of course it's easier to be more progressive and 'culturally advanced' when your country has a history of colonizing and using the capitalist system to trample over others while holding yourself up higher. Noah 27,418 Posted June 1, 2021 Share Posted June 1, 2021 Some countries may be on their way to a more liberal/open mindset (Singapore f.e.), but in times like these, we have to remember that people in those countries (who are queer) have it hard. I know this is meant to be for laughs, but it also is an issue various people who are not from ‘open minded’ countries go through. Often times I feel helpless when I read about other countries with strict anti-gay politics, but for example: If you live in a western country, you can talk to politicians and get involved about such topics. Help people flee from their home for being discriminated or punished. Look into how to be a part of this conversation.
