North Americas economy may be about to run hot, really hot. Canada grew 9.8% annualized in Q4 2020 and 6.8% Q1 2021 abd growth for second half of the year revised up to 6.1%...

USA is looking to grow at 6.9% for 2021 as a whole the fastest pace in since 1984

Both Countries are benefiting from lots of Government stimulus, high vaccination rates, really hot housing markets, and in Canadas case higher oil prices and other commodities also helps

In fact there is even a risk of over heating where rates may need to rise to prevent high inflation so Canadas Central Bank seems more willing to raise rates while US Central Bank seems more willing to let inflation run a little hot to ensure full employment

Sad that some countries will continue to live under the shadows of countries that take advantage of the riches of poor countries. The entire world should have a better economy. Clearly a sign that we still live being colonized by these top economies.

Madonna called Covid the great equalizer. How wrong she was... every type of disparity only got worse since this thing started... not just between rich and poor individuals but also between Nations overall

Exactly! The poor still trying to remain on their feet, being overworked and underpaid by jobs created by companies from top economies countries.

Yes unfortunately! She fired me the next day, I came into work and she had a cheque with severance pay and a document I had to sign. The document says it's because of the pandemic I have been let go but it was clearly a direct retaliation to the tip situation. :toofunny:

Thats what sucks about these situations. Laws to protect ppl from unfair firing ultimately dont really work. If a company or owner has something against an employee they can always come up with a "legitimate" reason to let you go

If you dont like someone cuz of their gender, sex, race, religion etc or in ur case cuz of retaliation for speaking up u can always come up with some bullsh*t like "were slow on work" or they can keep u under a microscope to keep track of every little mistake or infraction to justify firing you for poor performance... and its next to impossible to prove they targeted you for such reasons unless u have some kind of direct recording which in most cases you wont

Thats why if i ever had a situation with being treated badly at work (fortunately never happened to me in any of my jobs unless u count a cheap former boss :flop:) i dont think id make a formal complaint to ministry of labor. Theyd find out im the one who called one way or the other (employers always find out who it is lets be honest) and then look for a reason so fire me. So id sooner just find another job

sorry this happened to u tho. Its not fair

If u dont mind me asking how was her tone and attitude when she told u? How did u react back? Its optional u dont have to answer these if u dont want to :enigma:
