Season 1 ended a year ago and I really enjoyed it. Any fan of Pose should find this interesting too. Seeing no one made a topic about Season 2, I decided to do it again "The show is a celebration of drag ball culture, an LGBTQ+ subculture in which attendees dance, vogue, walk, and pose for prizes and recognition. Drag balls are rooted in black and Latinx trans and queer communities, which is why Legendary is such an important — not to mention exciting — show to support in 2021. Expect plenty of familiar faces in Season 2, since the four core judges will be returning to set. Ballroom icon Leiomy Maldonado, hip-hop superstar Megan Thee Stallion, stylist Law Roach, and The Good Place's Jameela Jamil are all coming back for Season 2, and Dashaun Wesley will also be returning as the emcee. The Houses, the stories, the performances are LEGENDARY. They really listened to the critiques about the camera work in Season 1 and improved. I would love for this show to succeed like Drag Race. It deserves so much. Maybe not the rabid fanbase but it does deserve to be picked up and get recognition. I would love to hear some of your favourite Houses if anyone's watching. I will place them in the spoiler because 6 Episodes have passed lol Spoiler I love Tisci and Garcon. Tisci delivered some of the best performances I have seen in both seasons and Garcons offer something unique and interesting. Mother Stasha is beyond beautiful. It's not perfect tbh and it has it flaws (Law Cockroach is the biggest flaw but anyway) but it's such a fun show!! I'm currently downloading ep6 to watch it but I've seen eps 1-5 so far. Tisci are absolutely killing it. Their Warhol was probably the best performance on the show so far in 2 seasons. I also really like Balenciaga and Garcons. I wish the judging was a lot better and they got better judges. I feel like Leomy is the only fully adequate judge, and Megan a little since she's a performer. Law Roach has the fashion but his judging is so random and he gives the most random scores just for the sake of giving them. Jameela Jamil literally has nothing going on for her House of Ninja were probably my favs from season 1, I was really rooting for them to win. How I understand it, Jameela approached HBO with this idea and had Megan to judge it too to attract a bigger crowd which I support. It was pretty clear that she was just someone who was so impressed with what she was seeing but not someone who fully understood it last season, but this season she’s really stepped it up on her understanding of the culture. I feel like Jameela is serving « i’m so into voguing right now » and the set combined with the editing are too busy for me, it makes it hard to see the actual dancing. YESSS!! As Leiomy said last season, ballroom culture influenced a lot of genres in music some of them being rap and hiphop. Jameela's thought process when making a critique: " I am giving you a (insert score) because I want to see you next week/and or be better." Have to note that some of the cast of Legendary said Jameela was the only one being constant with her critiques and what she asked for in a performance. Will agree 100% with the last part of what you said. The show is far from perfect. They still focus a bit too much on the judges reaction (maybe have a split screen for judges and performances?) and for some reason they choose to show all of Mother Stasha's reveals which even Drag Race doesn't do.
