Rumor: Switch Pro might be announced before E3

I'm excited for this even though I won't be getting it anytime soon 

And I doubt they'll make exclusives tbh. The Switch has sold some +84 million units so far, and a good chunk won't be buying a Switch Pro immediately, so making exclusive would mean losing a good part of their buyers. Maybe later they would, but I don't see it happening now, especially with big titles like BOTW or Metroid.

I doubt tbh  They just released a minor update for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe a few days ago and it's the best selling Switch game so I think they'll keep that for a while. I do hope they update it with new levels or something for the Pro release though, that would be cool.

I just wish they would make a Switch Home. I don’t need the portable functionality and without that it would be a tiny box like the Apple TV. 
 

if they bring that out for the same price as the portable only switch, I will bite.

Won’t be next gen. Think of it the Nintendo DSi to the Nintendo DS. Or the PS4 Pro to PS4.

But yeah, you’re totally right about not getting our hands on it. Gonna be impossible with the chip shortages and disgusting scalpers.

well when they tried this with the 3DS it amounted to a whole lot of nothing, so I'm not super interested tbh...  My launch switch still working perfectly so unless they just announce everything si going to be exclusive to it, there's no point in upgrading anytime soon.  

 

Which I doubt they'll make the biggest, most anticipated titles exclusive to it.  It would alienate their install-base and cause poorer sales.

From my understanding, it seems 99% of titles will work on all three versions of the Switch. However, the New 3DS XL had a few exclusives, although they might’ve been third party, iirc 

I’ll 100% be getting the switch pro. I’ve had my OG switch since day one, and the wear & tear is beginning to show. Screen is kinda falling out, scratches, dents, etc.

It’ll be nice to have a fresh switch experience and in upscale 4K/with an OLED screen to boot.

I think pretty much always at some point, like nintendo 3DS games don't work on the original DS, and I'm not sure if WiiU games work on the original Wii.
(The other way works most of the time, like DS games are playable on the 3DS and Gameboy Advance games were playable on the DS.)

And there are the major changes when they switched from cassettes to disks and now to these little cards.

Oh right I forgot my old DS has a GBA slot. 

Wait no I'm thinking the wrong way around nevermind. Like I'd never be able to play my DS games on my GBA lol. 

I've never tried to play my Wii U games on my Wii but I hope not or buying my Wii U would've been even more pointless  But I assume no.
