I think it's more about realizing ur true self imo. Whether you lived ur life one way and realized ur not that, at 50, or you knew you were different at 7 you were both born that way. and "even if it was a choice, so what?" homophobia has been destroyed

Thats a secondary theme. The main them is that everybody is born with talent and you just have to find a way to express it, like she did when she became Lady Gaga. That's who you were born to be. Its sort of a caterpillar/butterfly idea.

I disagree. Nothing can change what your attracted to. If a kid was raised in a very christian home and they raised him to be straight then came out gay then what? It's not teachings or raising or what you learned. It's your attraction. Meaning born this way.

I personally think it's easier for me to think I was truly born this way. If I accept the alternative, then I might spiral down a hole where I think there was a possibility I could have avoided so much conflict and self hatred and therefore be back at square one. I would constantly be thinking there was a way to change myself so I'm not causing grief to my family and I don't think that's a healthy mentality. Accepting the fact that I was born gay means that I'm accepting these are the cards dealt to me, so I just have to play with them. I'm a control freak at heart so thinking there is a way to take charge of my sexuality would just cause years of harm and regret.
