I don’t agree with Born This Way

It’s not because scientists can’t find a specific gene of sexual orientation that gays or bis are not born gays or bis lol.

I really can’t fathom how this would a matter of social environment (there are gays since always and everywhere, in the most homophobic times and/or places so it doesn’t make sense). For me it’s obvious we’re all born with a sexual orientation.

But Gaga said the song is about rebirth as a constant action, not just the biological “birth”. So it isn’t *quite* the “born gay” concept (even though the song is not just about gay folk anyway). So, for instance, a trans person’s recognition and acceptance of their identity is, by her definition, a “birth”. It’s this constant arrival into yourself in every moment and the song is about celebrating that.

I didn't choose to be introverted. I just am. I could try real hard to be extroverted, but that doesn't work. I have always been like that since I can remember. If I could change that I'd actually rather be an extrovert because I believe this world is made for extroverts, because we humans depend on each other and need to be around people and socialise. Especially in the work environment which is basically survival.

Reading the OP though, ppl still can change their ambitions, likes and dislikes, overcome fears, etc. The same cannot really be said for sexuality. Sure it may evolve and ppl might realise later in life that they like one sex more over the other but that’s not to say their sexuality was influenced or changeable. It’s just a sexual awakening. I agree that there in no gay gene but ppl still are born gay, bi,  straight etc. Something has to determine it, maybe not a gene but something

I think trying to come to a conclusion on whether people are born gay/trans is useless and only used to defend whether or not we get rights. I think it's irrelevant and unimportant.

i somewhat agree with you ropinion but honestly the whole song is legit just a whole poetic version of "i am who i am" the song isnt too deep like other songs made by Gaga, its just a big show in your face of "this is who i am"

I think the point of the song is that you are born with the CHOICE to be who proud of who you are, how you were born & with the choices that you make. The point is JUST BE YOU regardless of who that is, what you love & how you express it.  Just sayin.

This doent make any sense at all. You cant be gay because of cultural, social and historical factors. 

Our culture is heterossexual, our society is heterossexual and history teach us that being gay will get you killed or living in misery. You are raised by straight people even.

Also. Sexuality starts developing after you are 6 years old. That's pretty young if you ask me.

 

In my opinion Sexuality is a very strange thing to understand and I do believe that in a way we all are born and designed to be bissexuals. Cause most gays still have straight instincts like being parents, having kids etc... it's in our nature to reproduce. The thing is... reproduction and love are not the same. In a more animalistic view, gays are the betas that can't compete with the alphas and will probably be less able to reproduce. This opens various solutions. In some animals groups they end being outcasts, but maybe in our case the solution was to pair yourself with another beta so you can secure your survival. While there is no gay gene, genetics do play something into it.

you are the ones who simplify the song, it's not the song itself, it says more about you and your lacking capacity of reading between lines, Gaga didn't invented the intricate GOAT system, her mythos of creation to back it up and her commentary about birth and rebirth for you to call the song simple.... have a little respect!
