Not at all. I don’t know enough about the situation. I don’t have a right to have a say in the situation.

Yes, my point is the information is all there readily available for you to learn about the situation. Especially in the recent weeks people have compiled very concise descriptions of what can simply be referred to as genocide, and hundreds if videos show what's happening to the Palestinians.

I mean, instead of posting something she should have stayed silent. This kind of posts of famous people that basically says nothing about a problem, are bad.

Tbh, not everyone has to comment on every single situation in the world. I’d rather stay quiet as I don’t know the full story and it is not happening in my country. It’s horrible people are dying on both sides.

I think staying neutral would be demanding Israel to stop killing people and destroying their land. Once that happens and the political things about who owns what land, who lives there - is something where I can see many people staying neutral on, since jews lived near Jerusalem for hundreds of years, even before 1943 and in the end there needs to be a solution that‘s not ‚All Jews out of that Land‘ because it‘s not ‚Muslim ground‘ either.

The important thing is accountability for Israel and what they‘re doing. Even if there are Terrorgroups in Gaza, that should be reason alone to give those who are suffering under that Terrorgroup shelter. But they don‘t. They attack healthcare centers, Journalist Buildings and innocent people. I think there needs to be a change now, regardless of how many alliances other countries + Israel have -> Human Rights & Lives should go first.

I think Demi's referring to the innocent civilians on both sides of the conflict. I don't think it's terrible to support peace on both sides but I think Demi would've been better just staying out of the issue in general.

See you are simply saying things that are wrong and that is a direct result of you choosing not to look into what's happening. There have been absolutely NO Israeli casualties while hundreds of Palestinian men, women, children, nurses, and doctors have been massacred, entire families disappeared, and that's only in the past few weeks. Where did you get the "people dying on both sides" from if you claim not to follow news that aren't in your country? It's strange that you think people should concern themselves only with their regional news, when you always make threads about Scotland politics.

I don't see this as neutral. The problem is the government - this statement is about the whole population including many civilians who are not responsible and are against this. If you think these people don't deserve "peace and safety" because they happen to have been born there... :awkney:

Tbh, it’s not my place to have an opinion. It’s not that I’m siding with Israel or Palestine. I’m just staying quiet because I feel it’s not my place to say what side is right or wrong.

Right? There’s not a single bit of support for Israel in there beyond saying they also deserve to live in peace, just as Palestinians do

I just know you would be fuming if England did to Scotland what Israel does to Palestine and somebody would write lemme not pick sides. Its not my place I don’t know anything about it

I won't delve too much on it 'cause I'm not that well informed about the whole thing, but people need to have more empathy for others.

More than 200 people have lost their lives because of this conflict, and that's an awful and traumatic experience for the human beings that live in there. All the people who have lost their loved ones, and for what? All because of a territorial issue.

Well guess what, no one owns the Earth. We just happen to be here.

Girl this is like the 5th or 6th Arab - Israeli war. I don't like what Israel's current response is. Let's face it it's terrible but they have been fight to stay in there home ever since Britain split Palestine and Israel in two. The first people to attack Israel was Palestine Turkey and other middle east Arab countries.

If you think this conflict began within the last two weeks, you are consuming alot of propaganda.

Again I don't agree with the arms sales nor with what Israel is doing right now but it's a longer more complicated issues. Palestine nor Israel want a two state solution for the middle east and because of this this conflict will go on much after we have died.

That's why unless we live there in Palestine or Israel we should all remain neutral.
