Watching now, I'm thankful this series exists.

By the way, anyone who hasn't used their trial and have an Apple ID, you get a free 7 days. $4.99 a month if you forget, so it's not too bad of an 'oops I forgot to cancel'.

I always knew & felt this was what MTN was about.

I'm so glad she's able to be strong and share her story to hopefully help millions of others. She sure has helped me the past 11 years.

That's why I'll stick by her forever.

The melody that you choose can rescue you ♥

I was reading that again, what does she mean by "locked for months in a studio"? was she literally locked in a studio or she means it as she had to go every day to a studio and see this people and felt that she was locked there. Cause I'm getting really scared.

I feel a bit weird being too speculative buuut, but I don't think she means literally locked up. I'm assuming she means she felt trapped within a working relationship with her abuser, perhaps trapped within a contract etc.

We know the Kesha/Dr Luke dynamic was very triggering for her, so perhaps something similar

Spoiler

this makes sense if you have some idea of who the person probably is and their working history with Gaga, but I'm trying not to point fingers or drop names here

In the white room, with the yellow chair
Was her baby, with his angry stare
In the white room, through their violet eyes
Shes just a baby taken by surprise

Oh my f*cking god. Good catch.

OT: This is going to be a weird take but I kind of like that she has yet to name her rapist. So many experiences become too much about the accusations and "who done it". But with her, it's different. She's putting 100% of the focus on the experience. The trauma. The living nightmare that lasts a life time. The healing despite it all. And I love her for that.

If she ever decides to seek justice somehow, I'm behind her 1000000% but until then, I'm so glad her story is focusing on her as a survivor.

My heart just broke in a million pieces.
I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight.

Time. It will not wait, no matter how hard you hold on...

The opening to Marry The Night, the first verse to Replay. Til It Happens To You. Holy f*** everything adds up now. I'm going to watch this tomorrow morning during downtime with work. She's so brave and In agree it's commendable that she's giving energy to the experience and not her rapist.

This makes me lover her more than ever this is not an easy thing to share, like she said “In the religion of the insecure, I must be myself respect my youth”

Love you Gaga

It makes me think of what she said at the JWT about her dad. Saying "I don't know my real dad" because Joanne's death hurt and impacted him so much that he became a different person. I wonder if, in the back of her mind, she was also talking about herself. Maybe that's why she took on Joanne as a persona. Or even Lady Gaga as a persona.

God...so much of her work is about pain. I'm really thankful she shares it with us.

That was really powerful, she had a lot of beautiful things to say and I really hope people watch the full thing or at least everything she had to say.

I think the segment at the end of the episode is incredibly important. I'm paraphrasing but she says she is not sharing her story to get pity, but for people to open their hearts and be there for someone else who is suffering. I really really hope everyone remembers that message and takes it to heart. Open your heart and help people.

I always knew it!! I said from day one, she must’ve had an abortion.  That’s what this scene from MTN always indicated to me.

I'm honestly surprised that anyone is shocked by this revelation. I always assumed this had been something that happened to her. I guess maybe people are surprised she actually is talking about it. I know it's a heavily charged topic which it really shouldn't be, especially in cases of violent assault. The fact that she said she feels shame about it is very sad. I hope she is able to learn to let herself off the hook eventually.

A lot of women have been through what she went through and it's the biggest reason why pro choice laws are so important.
