Learn to read the room - there’s a time and a place to bring up horrible anti-jew hate crimes. it simply is not a right wing talking point. the political left-wing establishment has hugely failed the jewish community in recent years. those anti-semitic labour party tweets DO exist. aoc's blatant ignorance of jewish issues in her district DO exist. i will happily trash the hell out of israel's government as a 'lefty jew'. netanyahu is blatantly a murdurer, a fascist and a reactionary who has no business leading a country, much less one in such a tense situation, and he has handled this crisis in one of the worst ways possible. but just because i'm raising another point, it doesn't mean i'm suddenly a supporter of his.

i was reading the room. the post in question explicitly mentions the jewish hate crimes happening and i was simply praising the post for mentioning something very often overlooked at the moment, showing that the post isn't all "hate muslims, hate palestine" but actually does have some commendable points.

I'm an antizionist person who can't stand Israel, the only land of the Jewish people that was built on genocide and ethnic cleansing. To hell with that. There's plenty of Jews who are against Israel too because they don't see the need for a colonial state that butchers anyone who doesn't belong to it under the guise of religion.

And I know I'm not fooling anyone, I am vocally and unequivocally against Israel. And if that's antisemitic to you then maybe read an accurate definition of antisemitism that isn't written by a zionist. And maybe also read an accurate history book.

It is a right wing talking bc you’re literally hiding the way right wingers are extremely anti-semetic. White supremacists literally believe Jews control the world. They make memes about it all the time. They drag George Soros and blame everything on him. They literally hint and pander at Hitler all the time online + theyre violent. Those posts exist - but oh “guys AOC had a perceived misinformed tweet guys shes the next hitler” 😭

No you’re the one who needs to read an accurate history book (something before the 40’s). Israel has been the Jewish country for hundreds of years, and it’ll always be. 

Also ethnic cleansing? Do you even know the definition of that? Don’t you think that if Israel, such a powerful and terrifying country,  wanted to do ethnic cleansing to the Palestinian people they would’ve done that years ago? Israel can erase Gaza within hours if they wanted to. 

And yes, spreading lies and making false accusations about the only Jewish country in the whole world is antisemitism.

did i ever say the right wing isn't anti-semitic? hitler is literally the most infamous anti-semite in history. it's a matter of degree. there's a lot of people on the modern left who call out most notably the democrats and labour party for having anti-semitic members and ignoring jewish issues. does that make them nazis? of course not. it just means it's more likely to be causational when they cover attacks on pro-palestine protests but ignore attacks on innocent jews.

No but going after the left (which - if there is actual anti-semitism - I’d like to see it bc no, I don’t like that) is egregious when the right is far more harmful with it. Religion is being used as an excuse to justify the removal of palestinians - and bc centrists and right wingers ignore that, the left gets called anti-semetic for saying “this is not an excuse.” There’s a problem when y’all try and distract from palestinian pain by bringing up different discussions. Focus on the main issue please.
