Don’t get me wrong, she’s talented, but to me she’s one of those try-hard screamers out to prove something every time (and she doesn’t necessarily have the chops for it).  I like effortless big voices - like Whitney, Celine, Mariah (in the early years).  If it ain’t easy, don’t force it.   Cause if it’s painful to sing, it’s usually painful to hear.

As someone said- Demi is not an effortless singer. There is a lot of screamy/pitchy/imperfect things about her technique. People can have a preference-your favorite singer or performance can be by someone like Demi, Christina, etc- but the best VOCALISTS- sing with a since of effortlessness- the Whitney’s, Celine’s, barbras, Arethas...

Unfortunately people these days kinda not here for effortless vocals from big soul singers.
