Reducing someone's coming out statement to something like this is what makes it even harder for people like him to come out and even accept themselves before they do.  It's hard enough knowing that you were trying to live a straight life that wasn't ultimately meant for you.

he still can be bi tho
"trying to live a straight life" is a little bit too much here

These comments seem a bit off-hand so I guess its a weird joke justifying his praise for Harry? :gum:

It sounds more like he’s saying Harry is attractive rather than a whole coming out situation. :gaycat:
Wait nvm maybe he did. :enigma:

Being bi is not being straight. A bisexual person choosing to date someone of the opposite sex does not mean they are living a straight life. It's a big misunderstanding that many say contributes to bi-erasure because people think you're "choosing a side" with every person you date.

If he's joking, I hope he apologizes. But if he's not, then good for him!

Why is this always the typical response when someone calls out catty gay men and their repulsive behavior?

You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.

Only a homophobe would think being called a bottom is repulsive behavior. Why is everyone so hyper sensitive to jokes? My god

Because the joke itself was homophobic and offensive. Comparing someone's difficult task of coming out to bottoming is something I'd expect from a MAGAot.

Everything can be twisted into something sinister if you try hard enough. There is simply no reason to take it so negatively, and not even in a logical way because no one "compared" coming out to bottoming, because there's no correlation there, the joke is that it would be funny if Olivia released an album she wrote about a love interest who turned out gay.
