Is it me or do some people are blaming her for what they all beg from Gaga (constant change and avant-garde/ experimental) ?

I think that the dead pets is a hudge album.. Experimental and pop, with bangers songs and deep sadcore stuff too. It's rich yet cohesive, Miley's tibetan bowls is the cutest transition, opener or ending, for any playlist i ever did...

I think she's cohesive in her propositions as an artist too. First of all she always had that country flair since the backyard sessions 'Jolene' is old please. then her transition to rock was smooth, it really started with Dead Petz (the psychedelics guitars stuff) for me, and is there already since FU...

I don't think she has no identity, I think she's developing and evolving, and that doesn't feel forced, that feels genuine and done on the long term. The pop rock flair of hers is there even in Hannah Montana (I never watched it really just gave i slight attention once to see what it was like, and it's too young for me but still)...

Bangerz, Dead Petz and Younger Now literally ended her career and lost any interest from the GP

now that she is finally doing something good they simply don’t care

Oh don't be dramatic :triggered:  her career is not over, she's still highly successful and a household name. She did lose the interest of the GP but her career is far from over

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

I have nothing to prove this is the case, but I feel like Miley's 'brand' is very damaged and 'uncool' for the GP. I think people struggle to separate her from either the 'Hannah Montana' stuff or the 'VMA Miley' stuff. People don't want to give her the chance she deserves, unless she releases a bonafide hit, like 'Midnight Sky'.

Bangerz was a successful era tf you on

Never said it wasn’t but in the long run it left a bad taste in the GP and hurt her career in the long run

She's had a messy career, especially when it comes to her public image. I wouldn't say she's done for or whatever, she's proved that she's still very much present and can still slay the game with Plastic Hearts, but there is still something missing with her I feel. It's like she doesn't fully know who she is as an artist. But that's fine tbh, she's still exploring her sounds and her character and I think she's almost there with PH. Also I feel like her label really messed up the PH rollout. That album has so much potential to be HUGE but it didn't do as well as it should have (although I think it did do well? I dont remember much). I hope her next project really kills it and she gets a proper rollout. PH was clearly loved by tbe critics and I think that's a sound she should aim for more. She really does the rock character very well.

At the same time, I'm all for experimentation and changing up her sound and character for different eras. She just needs to find something that's constant to her character and that can be recognized as Miley even when she does a full 180. Take Björk as an example: her albums all have differentl sounds, aesthetics, characters, etc. but you can still recognize her as herself no matter how much she shifts things. I think that's something Miley needs.

Soft, soothing, and succulent

It’s sad but I think she’s never been taken seriously by the GP, her huge success dates to when she made the headlines for other reasons than her music, and when she stopped being so provocative, people just didn’t care for her anymore.

Basically what would have happened to gaga after ARTPOP if she didn’t play her cards so cleverly and focussed on showcasing her talent for 3 years non-stop, miley should have done the same thing, it was a great strategy

Miley is still invited to participate in shows and events.  That doesn't happen if you're not popular.  You don't need to be at the very top of the heap to be successful.  She'll be just fine.

Dead Petz & Younger Now were so bland & uninteresting.. even I lost interest in her as an artist after those.

Plastic Hearts is unreal though. I just don’t think the masses were thirsty for new material from her. It’s a shame because it’s honestly one of the most enjoyable listening experiences I’ve had to date. It’s so flawless.
