sarahb 17,187
The fact that sooo many people want children in even the best of times has always baffled me anyway. Like you guys want to have less money, sleep and time? For 18 years bare minimum? And billions of people choose this? But then again I don't have a maternal bone in my body anyway Do you feel him sir?

This must be part of wider study regarding a link between COVID and population? I’m just confused as to why The Centre for Disease Control and Prevention is conducting a review on something I thought was The Census Bureau’s job? I would assume because they were interested in how birthrates compared to a pandemic. 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111

This , since the last epidemic/pandemic we had was literally just the flu in 1918 LOL. They needed modern numbers.
Illuminati 15,965
Glad the straights are being a little more responsible this time around. I expected another baby boom like in the past due to historical events causing people to stay at home

People who can’t afford health insurance are told they don’t qualify for Medicare. Higher education is a scam here. Most millennials are back with their parents or could never afford to leave… And this was before the Panda Express. We been knew birth rates drop during times of economic stress Yet conspiracy theorists will use this as "proof" thar the vaccines really were to sterelize ppl for population control

Take, for example, Social Security and Medicare. Both programs impose heavy fiscal burdens on society. Much of this cost is workforce related and paid through taxes tied to earnings and income. The significant reduction in fertility in the U.S., if not offset by enhanced immigration or greater worker productivity, puts these programs at risk. But productivity growth over the last decade has lagged the improvements seen in previous recoveries, and the prospects for increasing immigration seem dim. https://thehill.com/opinion/finance/388618-effects-of-low-birth-rates-will-reverberate-for-years-to-come Then maybe we should work on immigration reform instead of encouraging people to get pregnant. Mother Earth doesn’t need anymore people on this planet. Religion is a product to sell.
