What ur talking about is prejudice & racism. Were talking about whether or not this would be appropriation. They may overlap a little but ur bringing up something different

Until POC stop being discriminated against because of their looks/styles (in this case, hair) in western society, I don’t think we should be okay with white people using said style as a sort of “costume.” Thats my whole point. And yes, using other cultures’ styles when you yourself aren’t part of said culture is indeed cultural appropriation. 
 

edit: yes, some cultures fully welcome others using their culture as an aesthetic (e.g., in India many people welcome outsiders wearing their clothes/styles) but not every culture is the same.

Isn't that exactly what he did with his new album? Bringing a racial issue to his personal gain. He even sampled a MLK speech in one of his songs.
