I prefer this video over the Saweetie remix –– it gives me major 80s movie vibes –– but the song still ain't it. I'm one of Gwen's biggest defenders on this site, but if she wants to return to her "original" sound, she needs to make peace with Tom, Adrian, and Tony (though she has a lot of great pop songs on her own too).

I love Gwen too, but I think she’s just lost a lot of edge with her most recent music. I get that people change, but her pop punk persona was what made us love her in the first place.

Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years.

I thought she already learned the lesson of bringing back her "original" sound after her few failed attempts at making a comeback:

and This Is What The Truth Feels Like felt like a well-received step forward. But she didn't. I'm so confused at where she's trying to go with Let Me Introduce Myself and this...

Yeah, though I'll give her credit for "Let Me Reintroduce Myself," because that's actually what got me back into her music...I used to be a huge No Doubt fan, but I wasn't as into her solo stuff, so she and ND fell off the radar for me for years....And then I heard LMRM, found it was kind of cute and reminded me of "No Doubt lite," so I went back into her discography. Then she released the video with all the throwbacks to her earlier looks, and I found myself obsessed with rediscovering her music, including music she'd released that I never paid attention to the first round (including No Doubt's 2012 album Push and Shove), and I realized that her solo pop stuff is actually pretty good (especially L.A.M.B., which is truly a perfect pop record). So actually, LMRM served its purpose for me, but "Slow Clap" just makes me feel meh. I'm glad some people like it though.

these past 2 singles have been 'not great' to be kind.

i really liked TIWTTFL and obviously loved her previous 2 albums. TIWTTFL wasn't groundbreaking but it was way above whatever this new direction is.
