To be honest, people have the choice to get vaccinated or not (in America). It is what it is and people have to get with the times if they want to travel. You already had to get vaccinated to enter certain countries before covid. I think this was inevitable. There were riots because of the lockdowns and there will be riots after.

No it not so much about who gets vaccinated first, people here will not take it it well if they haven't even gotten the chance to get a vaccine, and some tourists come to parade in our country where some specific regulations might be easened up for tourists but not for the average citizen because they havent had the vaccine yet .... I'm not down for the aftermath scenario that will play out when that happens. People are on high tension here, and that will just blow off the lid.

I agree it does seem very unfair that tourists are allowed in the country while large portions of the domestic population are still under a fair degree of restriction

you know what, this is not smart, this will cause jealousy for those who are not vaccinated... the tourists will enjoy certain benefits and we have to wait... **** that... yall can wait. This will definitely cause riots/violence in the streets.

Where would unvaccinated Amerians riot when they are not allowed to EU? Will they protest EU by violence in american streets?

I'm not having fun tonight.

For context I'm from the EU, so please read my comment from that perspective. I was not referring to unvaccinated americans rioting about vaccinated people being allowed to go to the EU... I was refering  to how EU citizens will revolt when american tourists who are vaccinated come here. It will cause an uproar because the tourists get to enjoy certain freedoms (because there will likely be some exclusive regulations for tourists) while a lot of unvaccinated EU citizens cant enjoy that (and not because they have the choice to get the vaccine, but because the rollout is so damn slow) and that will cause jealousy and that will lead to more riots/vandalism/violence.

This is a two way street though. Europeans will be able to enter the US in return and I am actually skeptic about tourists being allowed to do things citizens can't. Regulations will probably still be in place no matter if you are vaccinated or not.

I don't think all countries will open up at once either.

edit: read this from the perspective of someone who lives in the EU.. this comment is not about unvaccinated people in the US rioting in the US streets for their rights to travel :ladyhaha:

Imagine surviving living in the gun violence capital of the world that sacrificed hundreds of thousands of lives to a virus in the name of “freedom” only to get knifed by an angry Parisian while buying a croissant.  :ladyhaha:

Um. But why would anyone come to the EU as a tourist in the next weeks or months anyway? At least here, where I live, in Germany, everything is closed - like everything asides from supermarkets ( oh and pharmacies and ice-cream shops to go). No-one expects anything to open before July and a lot of restaurants or tourists venues like hotels or leisure homes are broke.
