It is time that religion is held accountable and those who preach at any form of place of worship should be made it accept and preach love for the LGBTQ+ Community. The way that, especially Christianity, can continue to claim to be all loving and free from judgement yet condemn people for loving who they love or being who they are makes me sick. I struggle each day going to my Christian school because each day I am bullied and shamed for being gay. On the streets we are seeing hate crimes against us take place on the streets and we can't just stand around and allow it to happen. And no, I don't think religions are responsible (I differentiate between religions and people who embody or believe in it), first because it would be a way to make people less responsible and also because it is just used as a pretext to legitimize more intricate impulses. I wanna call you many names right now, this type of idiocy is off the walls Abrahamic religious books literally condone r*pe, child murder, homophobia, sexism and more. If you believe "religion isn't at fault, radicalization is", you either know nothing about the teachings of said religions OR are a huge hypocrite.
