The fire broke out at Ibn Khatib hospital in the Diyala Bridge area of the capital Baghdad after an accident caused an oxygen tank to explode. I don’t think the cause for the Indian fire has been solved yet, but the hospitals are currently at 200-300% capacity. It’s such a sh!tty situation in this region of the world right now. People are literally dying on the pavement outside waiting to get in. India has broken the world record for the fourth consecutive day for most cases in one day. I’m sure it has something to do with being over capacity tbh. But at the same time, the staff are extremely over-worked at the moment. Safety protocols are often missed when large amounts of patients constantly arrive.
