Brothers/sisters Mexican people are a mixed of various races. Spanish people conquered our country centuries ago and as a result you have people of all colors, sizes, shapes, forms, etc. So yes many Mexicans do look European but aren't any less Mexican because of that.

Both are equally Mexican. It feels at times that people tend to de-Mexican someone simply because we don't look according to stereotyped ideas of who we are and how we "should" look.

1. Not gonna lie I came in this thread to see if it was a non-POC making this thread. Happy to see it’s not! While I don’t plan on visiting these threads now, I do hope you include more indigenous looking Mexican men. Not because “European looking Mexicans” are any less Mexican, but because there is such a thing as colorism. I’m personally tired of seeing colorism affect Spanish media like Novelas and even Primer Impacto. Let’s show our Hispanic diversity!

I mean, I know, I'm not doubting he's Mexican, nor am I bashing him, he's hot, but is not Mexican looking by my day to day experience looking daddies in my state (in MX).

But is almost like black representation in media where POC have either "light skin" or way to European features. Where we say Mexican or any country but is the same beauty "standard" as Americans.

Then you should know that depending on what state you are from looks also change. Some states have bigger amounts of whites and some states have bigger amounts of indigenous people. All equally Mexican.

also, we latinos are very varied (i'm chilean ), some of us are white, some of us are mixed, some of us are black, some of us are indigenous, the stereotypes about us are not real, because we are all pretty different.
