Canada Encourages Astrazeneca Expanded Use To Provinces

Canada says the National Advisory Commitee on Immunizations only makes recommendations but it is still up to each Province to decide who qualifies for what vaccine and when after Premier of Ontario had suggested the age was being kept at 55 because of the NACIs decisions

 

The Government is now encouraging expanded use of Astrazeneca given risks to benefits, current supply and other factors and specifically called out Ontario which lately has been the hardest hit Province with almost half the National cases

I don't know how I feel about the federal government always hiding behind the provinces. Clear vaccine distribution strategies were their one federal responsibility from the beginning, I wish they took ownership of their recommendations.
