U can report something happened without putting so much emphasis on each individual case of a bad reaction that will obviously start to play in ppls minds who are too stupid to keep proper perspective on things.

 

Some ppl will not think about the fact that it was 2 or 3 cases in a country that adminjstered millions of thoughts. They are just gonna see it on the news frequently and associate frequent news as something thats a big deal

 

The media can report on things without blowing them out of proportion... the fact that they do for sensationalism and ratings in my opinion makes them guilty also.

 

They know ppl will be glued to tv when they report on side effects and the milk the sh*t out of those ratings. They know exactly what they are doing

Aren't we all guilty of that though in some sense, I mean aren't you here making a thread about this issue? And we're all here discussing it day in day out? The whole situation draws attention regardless of the media.

It's actually kinda big news even if you don't think it is. I mean it's one of the main vaccines being rolled out, across the globe, in part of the biggest vaccine rollout the world has ever seen. And it's having potential fatal side effects. Even if it's in a rare percentage, I hope the gravity of that is not lost on you. And do you really think the media of all people are not going to report on it the way they've always reported? 

Edit - also not mentioning the unforseen consequences of having the media try to downplay this issue, or appear to, is just going to cause more uncertainty in people.

Our tax dollars fund ppls hospitalizations and the spread affects everyone so ppl gotta do their part. If they refuse vaccines in my mind u should be held to an even higher standard with the social distancing and stuff no exeptions

Edit: as for the last part u added, i agree undereporting would have consequences but my issue is not them reporting it... its the AMOUNT of focus on it. The disproportionate attention on it makes ppl loose perspective on how low the odds actually are

I hope they try to compensate with other vaccines then. It's amazing how a little bad PR has made people want to risk catching or spreading a virus that causes lasting issues in 40% of people affected and kills another 3.4% instead of taking a one-in-a-million chance that they'll develop an issue that most people are recovering from.

I am pro astrazeneca use as u can see but i dont think arguing against someone who doesnt have numbers in perspective by exagerating numbers makes any sense

 

Most ppl who got vaccinated with astrazeneca wouldnt have died without the shot so u cant count number of vaccinated as number of people saved

It was an obvious exaggeration. I work at my local health department. I know the numbers. I’m just tired of people speaking about Astra like everyone gets blood clotting of it. Its such a small percentage...

Determining that a vaccine is not good for you based on non-facts is what's bullsh!t actually, especially when these vaccines are literally being thrown away when they could be helping an entire planet get out of a destructive pandemic. And by all means do send us your "bad" vaccines, at least I know I'll take one.
